Renaming of Kings Highway in Hauppauge

A ceremony was held in front of the HYO Complex, Kings Highway, Hauppauge on Tuesday, September 1st .
Michael passed away from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma because of his brave work at the World Trade Center in the weeks after 9/11. Before becoming sick, Michael enjoyed his work as a New York City Police Officer, and especially enjoyed his role as Vice President of Hauppauge Football at the HYO Complex, which is why the Town-owned streets in front of the complex will be symbolically dedicated to his memory.

To reach the complex, you get off at Long Island Expressway exit  56N (Rte 111 - Wheeler Rd).
Go North on 111 for approximately 1/4 mile to Kings Highway.
Make a left on to Kings Highway and go about 300 feet to the field on your right.

(This is near the same general area of the Hauppauge Court complex and motor vehicle.)
